Soda City Kids

For ages 5-7

4:00pm - 4:45pm

Class Runs: 8 Weeks

Instructor: Debra E. Leopard


Beginning acting and creative dramatics for the very young student. Children will learn basic theatre & acting terms as well as theatrical concepts. Students will exercise their imaginations through dramatic play, improv and theatre games. They will also learn age-appropriate monologues and “commercials”. Last class will be a showcase performance of skills learned to which family and friends are invited.


Soda City Junior

For ages 8-11

5:00pm - 6:00pm

Class Runs: 8 Weeks
Instructor: Debra E. Leopard


Beginning acting class for elementary students. Students learn basic acting/theatre concepts and skills to build confidence, communication, and teamwork. Each student develops and memorizes one age-appropriate monologue and one commercial script. Classes include theatre games, improv, and creative dramatics. The final class is a showcase performance for family and friends.


Soda City Teens

For ages 12-16

6:10pm - 7:10pm

$125

Length: 8 Weeks

Instructor: Debra E. Leopard


Beginning/intermediate level acting. Students learn method acting techniques and character development through improv, acting games, exercises. Each student will prepare and present a dramatic monologue. In addition to building communication skills, confidence, creativity and team building, special attention will be paid to poise and stage presence. The last class will be a showcase performance of skills learned to which family and friends are invited.

Debra E. Leopard

With over 45 years of theatre experience, Debra E. Leopard brings unparalleled expertise, passion, and dedication to the art of performance. As a seasoned actress, director, and educator, her career highlights include:


  • Education:
    • BFA in Acting
    • MFA in Directing


  • Experience:
    • Directed over 100 productions spanning all styles and genres.
    • Acted in more than 150 shows as a professional actress.
    • 40+ years of directing experience, including professional voice-over, public speaking, and acting.
    • Professional improv performer and a produced playwright.
    • Expertise in all areas of production, from lighting and stage management to costuming.


  • Teaching & Mentorship:
    • Taught at the collegiate level across three universities.
    • Guided aspiring talent at modeling and talent agencies.
    • Launched three successful children’s theatre programs in the Midlands, inspiring creativity and nurturing young performers.


Debra’s dynamic background and love for theatre shine through in every class she teaches. Whether you're a budding performer or a seasoned artist, Debra's guidance will help you unlock your full potential.
