🔪 A snowstorm. A mansion. A room full of theatre people. What could possibly go wrong?

Join Soda City Theatre Company for The Musical Comedy Murders of 1940, John Bishop’s fast-paced comic mystery where Broadway egos, secret identities, hidden passageways, and one very inconvenient killer all collide under the same roof.

It’s December 1940, and a group of performers, writers, producers, and theatrical types have gathered at a secluded mansion for what appears to be a backer’s audition for a new musical.

Naturally, the snow starts falling.

Naturally, the doors become impossible to leave through.

And naturally, people start turning up dead.

Soon, no one is quite who they claim to be, the mansion seems to contain more secret passages than actual walls, and every new revelation somehow makes the situation even more ridiculous.

Part murder mystery, part backstage farce, and part affectionate send-up of old Hollywood whodunits, The Musical Comedy Murders of 1940 is packed with sharp wit, mistaken identities, suspicious behavior, and theatrical chaos.

And despite the title, no, it is not a musical.

We promise. Mostly.
